On Wednesday 26th September 2018, it was NATIONAL FITNESS DAY and we celebrated this by hosting a taster evening of the classes we have on our weekly timetable.
We did 10 or 15 minute sessions of everything from Kettlercise and Boxfit to Zumba and FitSteps, giving people a chance to try something new 🙂
It was a truly fabulous evening, with lots of people turning up to support the event – Thank you to all that attended and made the evening what it was!!

✅I love that so many people want to get involved with exercise, fitness classes and personal training sessions with the most common goal being ‘weight loss’ and that they want to ‘tone up’ a phrase used many a time. But what about health gain???
✅Too many people stand on the scales and measure progress with a pointless number they see on the scales. This isn’t an accurate way of progressing.
✅However many of us actually forget about the ‘HEALTH gain’ we receive when exercising regularly. Getting moving more often can help us just as much mentally and physically. It helps your mindset, something I feel is so important. This could be something as simple as getting out for a walk or having a gentle stretch not necessary a fitness class or personal training session.

Why not try this amazing energy boosting recipe for ‘Apple Pie’ Porridge. 🍏
Serves: 1 adult
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Calories per portion: 315kcal
50g porridge oats
200ml semi-skimmed milk OR Almond Milk
1 medium dessert apple, diced
Pinch of cinnamon
This is a warm, comforting porridge spiced up with the classic flavours of a homemade apple pie.
Throw all the ingredients into a saucepan. Heat and stir until boiling, then lower the heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring often.
Spoon the porridge into a serving bowl and add a sprinkle of cinnamon. 🍏
It’s inspiring and motivating to be surrounded by dedicated, like-minded individuals within our different group exercise classes. It doesn’t get much more empowering than a class with an encouraging instructor and supportive people all working hard together. Group fitness is a great way to help motivate yourself and others to dig deeper and push harder in workouts and reach your goals.
Group fitness is a great way to get a workout in without having to think or plan. Each class is structured with a warm-up, a balanced workout and a cool-down.
5 Benefits of Group Exercise Clasroperly raise your heart rate while your joints and muscles before jumping into strenuous activity. The instructor will coach you through each segment of the workout. The cool-down will help you safely lower your heart rate and stretch all the major muscles worked during class.
